Welcome to the
Central Florida Fire Academy

Orlando, Florida

In operation since 1977, the Central Florida Fire Academy is a regional firefighter school offering both Minimum Standards Classes and training for experienced firefighters and other fire/rescue personnel, including:

  • EMTs, firefighter/EMTs and firefighter/paramedics
  • fire officers and fire instructors
  • fire inspectors and fire investigators
  • fire apparatus driver/operators (engineers)
  • emergency vehicle operators
  • urban search and rescue teams specializing in the following types of rescue: Building Collapse, Confined Space, Hazardous Materials, Rope (rescue from high places), Structural Tower (e.g., microwave towers), Trench, Vehicle, and Machinery
