Job Description:
The purpose of the class is to provide protective services and treat injured persons. The class is responsible for responding to fires or other emergency situations, extinguishing fires, rescuing and providing emergency medical services to persons, performing salvage operations, and related follow-up. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed; develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.

Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or GED, Florida Firefighter Minimum Standards, EMT and CPR certifications, 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operation Course (EVOC) and a valid State of Florida driver license. Must submit a current driver license history with application.

Firefighter/Paramedic
Pay Grade: 522
Annual Salary: $38,642.24
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
