Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT Orange County Fire Rescue, Orlando, FL
Paramedic preferred. Salary: FF/Paramedic - $45,721 ($39,099 base salary + $5,577 paramedic incentive + * $1045 Scheduled FLSA OT. FF/EMT - $40,144 ($39,099 base salary + * $1045 Scheduled FLSA OT.

Qualifications – Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent. Must possess Florida State Firefighter certification. Must possess a current EMT or Paramedic certification. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be a non-user of tobacco products for at least one year, as evidenced by a sworn affidavit of the applicant. Must meet all moral and criminal background guidelines. Must meet medical and physical agility standards.

Individuals hired as Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic must maintain current certifications for the position as hired.

Individual hired must possess and maintain a Valid State of Florida Class "E" Driver's Licenses.

ALL OCFRD personnel are expected to maintain a level of physical fitness consistent with their job assignment.

Firefighter/Paramedic Seminole County Government, Sanford, FL Salary Range: $33,620.00-$56,099.00 Plus $7,000 Annual incentive

Education, training, experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Must possess and maintain certification as a paramedic as designated by the State of Florida and the Department of Public Safety. Must meet and be able to continuously maintain the physical agility requirements as administered by the Department of Public Safety. Considerable knowledge of street/road system and geography of the County and a working knowledge of fire fighting and emergency medical procedures. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with associates and the general public. Ability to perform prolonged and arduous work under adverse conditions.

Applicants must sign a notarized affidavit attesting to no use of tobacco/tobacco products for one (1) year prior to employment. New hires must have abstained from the use of tobacco products for twelve months prior to application with Seminole County (Florida Statute Section 633.34). Applicants must have completed the Fire/EMS Skills Assessment administered by Seminole Community College within the last twelve (12) months of date of hire.
