Firefighter/Paramedics – City of Ocoee, FL $44,150 including Paramedic Incentive.

The following is required of applicants interested in this position:

1. All applicants must possess and provide proof of current Florida Firefighter II Certification and a Florida Paramedic Certification, American Heart Association CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) certification, and a valid Class E or CDL driver license.


2. All applicants must be tobacco free for a minimum of 12 months prior to application. All applicants are subject to a complete driving history, background check, voice stress analysis, and medical physical/drug screen prior to being employed.


3. Applicants are required to provide proof and related scores of completing the Central Florida Fire Academy new hire written and skills test within the immediate 12 months prior to application. A test date will be established for those applicants needing to complete the test. That testing will be scheduled with the Central Florida Fire Academy with the related testing fees being paid by applicant to the Fire Academy.


Any qualified/eligible person who has applied for Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Ocoee within the last year need only contact the Human Resources office to re-activate your previous application. This announcement will remain open until Friday, April 2, 2010.
